The Warrington Scout Campsite is a hidden gem in the picturesque cobblestone village of Grappenhall. Cobbled roadway, stone buildings, a village school, 1776 brick-builthumpback canal bridges and two historic public houses all on the doorstep. Plus the Trans-Pennine Trail and rural footpaths are all close by.
The site tucked away behind the church alongside the Bridgewater Canal is the ideal base for Warrington East and West groups to provide group camps, family camps, pack camps, sleep overs and expedition practice for the DOE etc. The 25th HQ comprising of large hall and kitchen facilities can also be hired for events.

The campsite blanket badge can be purchased for £1.50 each to celebrate your visit.

The site is available for hire to Scouts and other youth groups. There are 3 levels of site provision:
1. Use of the campsite including toilet and shower facilities (There is a disabled toilet and wet room). Plus the hot water supplied pot wash room.
2. Full use of the 25th HQ separate to the camping areas comprising of kitchen, large hall and toilet etc. facilities. Ideal for indoor events and training.
3. Book both the campsite and the 25th HQ., providing all site facilities.
If the full campsite is not booked we may allow more than one camping group on the site.

Also available on the site for hire are a comprehensive set of pioneering poles with ropes and soft archery kits

Canoeing and kayaking is possible at the site (booking essential)
