Outline
To work in partnership with the District Commissioner to ensure the District runs effectively and that Scouting within the District develops in accordance with the rules and policies of The Scout Association, so that the District provides good quality Scouting for young people and proactively supports and manages adults in the District.

Appointment Requirements
- Must complete the relevant training (a wood badge) within three years of taking up the role.
- Must be eligible for charity trustee status (as a member of the District Executive Committee).
- It’s expected that whilst volunteering for this role you will undertake regulated activity.
Main Tasks
- Provide proactive support for the members of the District, with recruitment of both Young People and Volunteers.
- Raising the profile of Scouting in Warrington East with members of the local community, schools and other youth organisations in the County.
- Supporting and attending local Community events in the district to raise the profile of Scouting in Warrington East.
- Support our local communities and encourage groups to take part in Community projects.
- Work with the youth Commissioner to engage with the Young people across the district promoting youth forums and using these ideas to drive forward District events.
- Raising our profile in the public domain through social media working with the District Commissioner and the District team to promote Scouting in Warrington East working effectively together and with others to meet the Scouting needs of the District.
- Attend district Executive meetings if required and County DDC meetings every quarter.
- The overall role is to help the DC raise the profile in the community, support the District with recruitment and work with the youth commissioner to ensure youth lead scouting is promoted across the district and promote scouting in the local community.
